Kūgun Shotokan Karate joins JKS England
JKS are proud to announce that Kūgun Shotokan Karate has joined the federation.
Kūgun Shotokan Karate was established by Jon McGorian who serves in the Royal Air Force. The aim is to provide a platform for development of Shotokan Karate within the RAF and wider community.
Jon joined the RAF in 2012 and is the coach and captain of the RAF Karate competition squad.
Starting at Halewood SKC in Liverpool, He has trained for over 25 years and attained his shodan under Enoeda Sensei. He represented the KUGB England Kumite team for 15 years winning various National and International medals, including European Shotokan Karate Association Kumite champion in 2013.
He hopes to continue in competition along with his own personal development in the JKS. He also aims to use his experience to mentor and inspire a new generation of karateka.
Kūgun Shotokan Karate will begin its journey in and around RAF Stations in Lincolnshire and is looking forward to becoming involved with the JKS and what it has to offer.
